Eddie Howe has named an unchanged starting XI for Newcastle United's clash with Brighton & Hove Albion, but there is a new name on the substitutes bench

The 17-year-old, who signed his first professional contract on his birthday two weeks ago, would have been called up by England for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship as the Young Lions face Croatia in their opening group game this evening, but instead finds himself on the bench for a vital Premier League match at St. James' Park.

He has already been an unused substitute once in the top flight - against AFC Bournemouth back in November, when he was still 16 - and comes in for Jacob Murphy, who has been struggling with a groin injury over the past few days.

Stanley-born Miley, whose brother Jamie is also on the books at the club, played for the Magpies' first team in December's Diriyah Season Cup victory against Al-Hilal but awaits his senior debut.

Other than that, it's the same team and substitutes named at Leeds last weekend, with Nick Pope in goal and the defence comprising of skipper Kieran Trippier - nominated for the Premier League's EA Sports Player of the Year award earlier in the day - along with Sven Botman - shortlisted for the league's Hublot Young Player of the Year prize - plus Fabian Schär and Dan Burn, the former Brighton player.

Eddie Howe is up for the league's Manager of the Year award, too, and he sticks with Joelinton, Joe Willock and Bruno Guimarães in midfield. Another Young Player of the Year nominee, Alexander Isak, and Miguel Almirón provide support to leading scorer Callum Wilson.

Joining Miley on the bench are Martin Dúbravka, Javier Manquillo, Paul Dummett, Matt Targett, Jamal Lewis, Elliot Anderson, Anthony Gordon and Allan Saint-Maximin.
