Elliot Anderson starts for Newcastle United in their final home game of the 2023/24 season against Brighton & Hove Albion.

He comes in for Callum Wilson in the only change to last weekend's 4-1 win at Burnley. Anderson scored twice against the Seagulls at the Premier League Summer Series in the USA in pre-season.

Meanwhile, Kieran Trippier returns to the bench having been sidelined due to a calf injury since March.

Martin Dúbravka continues in goal with Dan Burn captaining United against his former club. Burn will be joined in defence by Emil Krafth, Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento.

Sean Longstaff, Bruno Guimarães and Jacob Murphy all start alongside Anderson. Anthony Gordon - who won the club's player of the season award this week - will look to continue his superb form, as will Alexander Isak, who is nominated for the Premier League's Player of the Season and Young Player of the Year awards.

Trippier is joined on the bench by Joelinton, Matt Ritchie, Harvey Barnes, Miguel Almirón, Joe White, Alex Murphy and Paul Dummett, who made his Magpies' bow in an FA Cup tie against Brighton in January 2013. Nick Pope is the substitute goalkeeper.
