Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier has been shortlisted for the 2022/23 EA Sports Premier League Player of the Season award.

The right-back has been a huge influence at both ends of the pitch for the Magpies this term, playing every Premier League game for United so far this season, missing a mere 72 minutes of English top-flight action, whilst recording 13 clean sheets and six assists in the process.

The 32-year-old full-back, who netted a stunning free-kick in a thrilling 3-3 draw with league champions Manchester City, has been handed the captain’s armband for the majority of the 2022/23 campaign and helped United keep six consecutive Premier League clean sheets between November and January.

Trippier features on a seven-man shortlist, which contains Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford as well as Arsenal pair Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka.

The winner will be announced on Saturday, 27th May at 11am and you can now vote here.
