There’s a candid, in-depth interview with Martin Dúbravka inside Sunday’s issue of UNITED – the Magpies’ official matchday programme – as Eddie Howe’s side take on Southampton at St. James’ Park.

Over an exclusive, five-page piece, the 34-year-old ’keeper – the club’s Player of the Year for 2019/20 – opens up about an eventful nine months, during which he took in a short loan spell at Man United.

Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves provides his latest column, while United Backstage, the feature in which we shine a light on some of those working behind the scenes at the club, continues with a look at Newcastle United Foundation’s Liam Atkin – once on the Magpies’ books himself.

Defender Sven Botman is the latest to dip his hand into The Toon Tombola, discussing superheroes, stage shows and swimming in the sea. England Under-16 star Ollie Harrison provides this week’s Academy Diary, while Newcastle United Women’s Hannah Reid – a recent recruit – tells us all about her life and career to date.

As always, club historian Paul Joannou and regular columnist Stan Gate provide four pages each; Paul looks back at the Magpies’ Anglo-Italian Cup success, which took place exactly 50 years ago, while Stan brings all sorts of black and white insignia back to light in Toon Collectables. Toon Voyage!, meanwhile, a new series looking at some of the most significant geographical locations in the Magpies’ history, continues with a look at the club’s old training complex at Benwell.

Furthermore, there’s ten pages on visitors Southampton, three more for Junior Magpies, boss Howe and skipper Jamaal Lascelles’ thoughts ahead of the game and lots of extra reading material.

UNITED will be on sale around the ground, priced at £3.50.
