Tickets for the Premier League Summer Series, which will see Newcastle United join five other Premier League clubs in a pre-season tournament in five major East Coast cities this July, are now on general sale

This is the first time the League has hosted a pre-season tournament in the USA, giving fans the opportunity to watch a world-class line-up of Premier League players and managers in action. Tickets are available from just $30* at premierleague.com/summerseries.

The clubs featuring in the Premier League Summer Series alongside the Magpies are Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea and Fulham. They will compete in a total of nine matches between Saturday, 22nd July and Sunday, 30th July at stadiums in Atlanta, GA, Harrison, NJ, Orlando, FL, Philadelphia, PA and Landover, MD.

The tournament kicks off on Saturday, 22nd July when Chelsea take on Brighton & Hove Albion at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia. The same stadium will host a double-header on Sunday, 23rd July when Fulham play Brentford and Newcastle United take on Aston Villa.

On Wednesday, 26th July, Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium plays host to two fixtures when Brentford face Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United play Chelsea. Fulham go up against Aston Villa at Orlando's Exploria Stadium on the same day. The action then moves to New Jersey with Brighton & Hove Albion taking on Newcastle United at the Red Bull Arena on Friday, 28th July.

The tournament reaches a conclusion on Sunday, 30th July at FedExField in Landover, Maryland, with Aston Villa in action against Brentford, followed by Chelsea against West London rivals Fulham.

Fans who attend the double-headers in Philadelphia, Atlanta and Landover will be able to watch both matches with one ticket, with prices starting from only $40*.

The tournament will see Miguel Almirón return to his former club Atlanta, where he was twice named in the Major League Soccer Best XI as well as winning the MLS Cup in 2018.

"Atlanta holds an incredibly special place in my heart and I'm so excited to be returning there with Newcastle United this summer - it's going to be an amazing moment for me to play at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium again," he said. "I'm really grateful to have the opportunity to say thank you to the Atlanta supporters and everybody at the club for everything they did for me and my family during my two years there.

"The game against Chelsea will be really important for us in our preparation for the new Premier League season and we hope to put on another entertaining performance for the people of Atlanta."

Former Newcastle United striker and Premier League champion Alan Shearer, the league's all-time leading scorer, said: "I have witnessed the passionate support of American fans for Premier League football many times on my visits to the United States and the Summer Series is a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the most competitive soccer league in the world.

"We are currently enjoying one of the most thrilling Premier League seasons of all time, and I have no doubt we will see this drama unfold with some action-packed matches during the tournament."

The Premier League Summer Series aims to give as many fans as possible the chance to enjoy live Premier League action and is part of the league's ongoing commitment to its US-based fans. As well as high-profile matches and pre-season training camps, activity is planned in each host city to create a programme of community and youth soccer initiatives.

The tournament builds on the success of the eight Premier League Mornings Live fan festival events the Premier League and its broadcast partner NBC Sports have hosted in multiple US cities since 2018. These events have seen more than 60,000 fans attend live match screenings in iconic locations, coming together to share their passion for the competition. This is in addition to the millions of viewers who watch week in, week out on television in the USA.

The Premier League's long-standing broadcast partner NBC Sports will be the host broadcaster across the networks of NBCUniversal and Peacock for the Summer Series with the Premier League's international licensees broadcasting the event around the world in up to 188 countries.

The Premier League has previously hosted pre-season matches via the Premier League Asia Trophy. This biennial tournament launched in 2003, with nine editions taking place in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
