Ciaran Clark has been named in the provisional Republic of Ireland squad for their games against Wales and Poland next month.

Martin O’Neill’s side kick-off their UEFA Nations League campaign against Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday, 6th September (kick-off 7.45pm).

They will then head out to Wroclaw for a friendly against Poland at Stadion Miejski on Tuesday, 11th September, which will also kick-off at 7.45pm.

And Magpies defender Clark, 27, has been called-up to the initial 32-man Ireland squad, who are due to report to camp on Sunday, 2nd September ahead of the Wales clash.

The final squad will be confirmed by O’Neill on Monday, September 3rd. Clark could win his 32nd and 33rd international caps if he features against Wales and Poland.
