Second-string travel to Telford for third game of the season

The Magpies were 5-0 winners against local rivals Sunderland seven days earlier, having kicked off the campaign with a 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion.

Sean Longstaff and Jamie Sterry, who were among those to catch the eye against the Black Cats, were both named on the bench for Sunday's Premier League game against Chelsea.

And when asked by NUFC TV if some of United's youngsters may get an opportunity against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, Rafa Benítez replied: "I would say it depends on the players that we have available. "We need to count them and see how many are ready and fit, and after we will decide."

Freddie Woodman is part of the squad to face Wolves' second-string while Liam Gibson, who was a late withdrawal from the starting XI against Sunderland after being hurt in the warm-up, has travelled.

Cal Roberts and Luke Charman have both scored two in two games this term.

Kick-off at New Bucks Head, the home of AFC Telford United, is at 7pm (BST).
