Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka has been named in the Slovakia squad for their fixtures against Denmark and Ukraine.

Dúbravka currently has 11 caps for his country, but could get the opportunity to add to that figure next month as Ján Kozák’s side play a friendly before their opening UEFA Nations League clash.

Slovakia welcome Denmark to the Stadion Antona Malatinskeho for a friendly on Wednesday, 5th September (kick-off 7.45pm).

They then take on Ukraine in their first fixture in the inaugural UEFA Nations League at the Stadion Lviv on Sunday, 9th September (2pm kick-off).

And Dúbravka, who joined United on a permanent deal earlier this summer, could line up alongside a former Newcastle player in those games, with defender Lubomir Satka also named in the squad.

Twenty-two-year-old Satka made one senior appearance for the Magpies, in an FA Cup tie at Leicester City, before leaving for FC DAC in 2017.
