Aidy Boothroyd’s youngsters have a five-point lead at the top of Group 4 with four qualifiers left to play as they bid to reach the 2019 finals, which will be held in Italy and San Marino next summer.
Woodman, 21, has a number of honours under his belt from his time with England, having won the European Under-17 Championships in 2014 and last year’s Under-20 World Cup, where he won the Golden Glove award.
He currently has six England Under-21 caps to his name, having made his bow against Kazakhstan in October 2016.
