23-year-old Aarons has recently returned from a loan spell with Czech outfit Slovan Liberec, where he made 13 appearances. The wide-man has scored four times in 27 outings for the Magpies at first-team level, though he hasn’t featured in a competitive game for more than a year.
Lazaar, meanwhile, last played for United in a Carabao Cup clash with Nottingham Forest almost 18 months ago. The full back joined Newcastle from Italian side Palermo in August 2016, and returned to Serie A – with Benevento – for the 2017/18 campaign.
He has, however, made a string of appearances for Ben Dawson’s second string this term.
The duo link up with a Sheffield Wednesday side currently sitting 17th in England’s second tier. As of Friday, the Owls will be managed by former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce, who was announced as Jos Luhukay’s permanent successor earlier this month.
