The 19-year-old attacking midfielder, who made his first-team debut during Newcastle's 5-0 win against Al Hilal in Riyadh last month, will link up with Micky Mellon's side until the end of the season.
Joining United's Academy in January 2021 from Sunderland, Turner-Cooke also featured at St. James' Park during the Magpies' 2-1 friendly win against La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano in December.
Born in South Shields, Turner-Cooke primarily plays as an attacking midfielder and will be aiming to make his professional debut whilst on loan at Prenton Park, with the Super White Army currently occupying 13th place in the English fourth tier.
