The 32-year-old was in outstanding form for Eddie Howe's side last term, playing in all 38 Premier League games for United and wearing the captain's armband for the majority of his outings as the Magpies qualified for the Champions League after a 20-year absence.
Trippier also chipped in with a memorable goal - a terrific free kick in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City in August 2022 - as well as seven assists throughout the campaign as Howe's men secured a fourth-placed finish.
The England international - who also led Newcastle out at Wembley when they faced Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final in February - featured for his country at the 2022 World Cup last winter, and was nominated for the 2022/23 EA Sports Premier League Player of the Season award.
His efforts were recognised by his fellow professionals, who voted him into the top flight's best 11 of last term at the PFA's annual awards evening on Tuesday.
Trippier is the only United representative, with five Manchester City players - John Stones, Ruben Dias, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland - named along with Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.
Harry Kane, formerly of Tottenham Hotspur and now of Bayern Munich, completes the 11 selected for the prestigious prize.
