Rafa Benitez has made nine changes to his Newcastle United side for the Sky Bet Championship visit of Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday night.

Only midfielder Isaac Hayden and forward Ayoze Perez keep their place following the 3-0 FA Cup defeat at Oxford United, with Benítez opting to shuffle his pack for the clash with Ian Holloway's men.

Karl Darlow returns in goal, with DeAndre Yedlin, captain Jamaal Lascelles, Ciaran Clark and Paul Dummett lining up at the back.

Scotland international Matt Ritchie starts out wide on the right, with Hayden partnering Jonjo Shelvey in the middle and Yoan Gouffran playing on the left.

And Perez will start just behind in-form frontman Daryl Murphy in attack.

Midfielder Mohamed Diame returns from African Cup of Nations duty to take his place on the bench alongside Matz Sels, Jesus Gamez, Grant Hanley and Achraf Lazaar.

Sammy Ameobi and Aleksandar Mitrovic are also among the substitutes.
