The Brazilian frontman returns to Steve Bruce’s line-up for the Premier League clash with the newly-crowned champions at St. James’ Park, with Wilson sidelined until the end of the campaign with a hamstring problem (8pm kick-off).
Aside from the inclusion of the former Hoffenheim man, Bruce has stuck with the majority of the players who earned the Magpies an impressive 4-2 victory at Leicester City last Friday, edging them towards safety before it was formally confirmed this week.
That means Martin Dúbravka continues in goal, behind a defence comprising Jacob Murphy and Matt Ritchie as wing backs either side of Emil Krafth, Federico Fernández and Paul Dummett.
Joe Willock, Jonjo Shelvey and Miguel Almirón also start, with Allan Saint-Maximin providing support for Joelinton up front.
There are options in every area for Bruce on the bench, with Javier Manquillo, Ciaran Clark and Jamal Lewis named along with midfielders Matty Longstaff, Sean Longstaff and Jeff Hendrick.
And in Dwight Gayle and Andy Carroll, United have a pair of attacking reinforcements should they require them.
Mark Gillespie is also named among the substitutes as the back-up goalkeeper.
