Anthony Gordon returns from a one-match suspension and Joelinton from injury, while Callum Wilson and Jacob Murphy also come into the team with Elliot Anderson, Sandro Tonali, Alexander Isak and Miguel Almirón making way.
Isak, United's leading scorer so far this season, withdrew from the Sweden squad through for their friendly with Moldova and Euro 2024 qualifier with Belgium due to injury while Almirón played twice for his country, Paraguay, against Argentina and Bolivia during the week.
Nick Pope, who has kept five clean sheets in his last seven matches, starts in goal behind a defence comprising of Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schär, captain Jamaal Lascelles and Dan Burn.
Joelinton, who came off against Burnley last month, joins Sean Longstaff and compatriot Bruno Guimarães in midfield while Murphy and Gordon will support number nine Wilson in attack.
Isak is fit enough for a place on the bench while Almirón - who has made a habit of scoring against the Eagles in recent seasons - is also among the substitutes.
Other options for Howe to call upon are Anderson, Tonali, Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall, Matt Targett and Paul Dummett. Martin Dúbravka is the back-up goalkeeper.
