Jacob Murphy, Anthony Gordon, Sean Longstaff and Callum Wilson were the four Englishmen on target against former Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson's side, with the Magpies' latest three points meaning they've picked up 13 of the last 15 available.
And Eddie Howe's men currently have the best goal difference in the top flight, having scored more than any other team in the league, ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund at St. James' Park.
Murphy - one of four changes to the starting XI from the side which drew at West Ham a fortnight ago - opened the scoring inside just four minutes on his first Premier League start of the campaign.
After a gorgeous Fabian Schär pass to start the move, Murphy received the ball from Kieran Trippier, who had already flashed a dangerous delivery across goal moments earlier, and lofted it beyond Sam Johnstone. There was a lengthy VAR check after the flag went up for an offside against Trippier, but replays showed that there was no offence and referee Tim Robinson pointed to the centre spot.
It was the fourth game in a row that Trippier has set up a goal and it was the England defender's sixth assist of the campaign.
The visitors came close to a quickfire equaliser when Jean-Philippe Mateta headed just wide from a corner but it was largely one-way traffic with United on the offensive.
In the 25th minute, a quick free kick from Longstaff found Murphy, whose long-range shot was pushed away by Johnstone, then Murphy was involved again as he twisted and turned on the right before digging out a cross which, despite Johnstone's efforts to divert, fell for Gordon but his volley hit the bar.
But Gordon wasn't to be denied in the 44th minute. A superb team move from back to front started with Nick Pope and included Schär and Wilson before Murphy seized the initiative once more, crossing perfectly for Gordon to find the net with a controlled left-footed finish.
Then in the second minute of first-half stoppage time, England defender Marc Guéhi slipped as he tried to deal with a raking pass from Trippier - with Wilson lurking - and Longstaff was able to steal in and drill home at the Gallowgate End.
Not content with being involved in two of the three goals until that point, the outstanding Schär made another big contribution at the other end of the pitch at the beginning of the second period with an important block to thwart Odsonne Édouard.
Pope then fielded a low shot from Cheick Doucore in the 66th minute before starting the move which led to the fourth.
He rolled the ball to Trippier, who once again fed Murphy, and his pass was perfect for Wilson to score his fifth of the season and move into joint third in the club's all-time Premier League goalscorers list, level with Andy Cole and Shola Ameobi and three behind Peter Beardsley in second place.
Substitute Miguel Almirón could have added a fifth for United when played through by fellow sub Alexander Isak, but his shot was kept out by Johnstone.
But United recorded their sixth clean sheet of the campaign to go with their four goals, with Matheus Franca shooting off target for Palace before, in the 84th minute, Pope superbly tipped an Édouard free kick over the bar then in the last minute of normal time blocked an effort from Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
