Meanwhile, the club can also confirm that forward Ivan Toney has arrived back on Tyneside after his loan deal with Shrewsbury Town came to a close.

Toney found the net seven times in 26 outings for the Shrews, who – like Coventry – currently find themselves in the relegation zone in League One.
