The Magpies head to Kenilworth Road for the first time since 1994 for what will be their final fixture before Christmas, with 37-year-old England appointed for the game.

It will be the first game England - a top flight official since 2020 - has taken charge of involving Eddie Howe's side this term, with the majority of his outings in 2023/24 so far coming in the Championship.

He has taken charge of two Premier League games this term, though, along with a Champions League game and a Europa Conference League fixture, having been included on FIFA's list of international referees since 2022.

England only refereed one game involving United last season - the 4-1 win at Fulham in October 2022, when he booked two Cottagers players and sent off Nathaniel Chalobah.
