Newcastle United’s first team squad will fly out to Spain for a five-day training camp after their Premier League game at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Rafa Benítez’s side have a 12-day break from competitive action after the game at Molineux on Monday, 11th February, and the Magpies boss will take his side abroad as part of their preparations for the visit of Huddersfield Town on Saturday, 23rd February.

It will be the second time in as many years that United have headed to Spain during an enforced break from league fixtures, with Benítez’s men having drawn 1-1 with Royal Antwerp in a friendly there in March 2018.

And this year Newcastle will also round off the training camp with a friendly, against CSKA Moscow on Saturday, 16th February.

The game will take place at the 3,500-capacity Pinatar Arena near Murcia – which also staged last year’s fixture against Antwerp – and kick-off is set for 12pm local time.

Supporters are welcome to attend the friendly. Adults admission is priced at five euros, while access for children (under-16s) is free of charge.
