How Newcastle United's loan men fared over the weekend, with a well-taken debut goal for one Magpies youngster...

Dylan Stephenson and Lucas De Bolle

Twenty-year-old Stephenson's loan move to Hamilton was only confirmed on Thursday, but he wasted no time in making a positive first impression as he scored the only goal of the game at Partick Thistle on Saturday.

Stephenson, who netted his first Newcastle goal in last month's friendly win against Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, came off the bench at half time, and finished off a swift counter-attack in the 54th minute.

Midfielder De Bolle played the whole game - his eighth appearance for the Scottish Championship side.

Jeff Hendrick

Hendrick, pictured, lined up for Reading against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Emirates FA Cup.

Paul Ince's side made life difficult for the home side in the first half, but the Red Devils came out on top in the end, winning 3-1 on an afternoon which saw former Magpies man Andy Carroll sent off for two bookable offences.

Hendrick was replaced by Michael Craig in the 75th minute.

Garang Kuol

Hearts drew 0-0 at Livingston on Sunday, with 18-year-old Kuol making his second appearance for the club.

He was introduced at half time at the splendidly-named Tony Macaroni Arena, and had a chance to break the deadlock but saw his effort saved by home goalkeeper Shamal George.

Kuol's side stay third in the Scottish Premiership, one place above Livingston.

Joe White

White helped Exeter to win 2-0 at MK Dons in League One in his third appearance for the Grecians.

The 20-year-old played for the opening 61 minutes at Stadium MK, with Exeter - managed by former Newcastle player Gary Caldwell - tenth in the table and pushing for a play-off place.

Dan Langley

The 22-year-old goalkeeper tasted defeat for the first time in a Spennymoor shirt as his side were beaten 3-2 by County Durham neighbours Darlington at Blackwell Meadows.

Loan player co-ordinator Shola Ameobi and head of first team goalkeeping Adam Bartlett were among the 1,903 crowd, but Langley could do little as two goals from Jacob Hazel and a Jack Lambert strike gave the Quakers all three points.
