A look at how Newcastle United's loan players got on over the weekend

Ciaran Clark

The Republic of Ireland international enjoyed an impressive cameo for promotion-cashing Sheffield United on Saturday.

Clark entered the fray with just over ten minutes of the Blades' Championship clash at home to Cardiff City remaining, and managed to get himself on the scoresheet, wrapping up a 4-1 win by bundling home from close range following Tommy Doyle's corner.

Karl Darlow

Darlow has been in fine form since joining the Tigers on loan in January, and was again in defiant mood as he recorded a clean sheet to keep out Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday night.

Jeff Hendrick

Midfielder Hendrick lined up for Reading against his former club Burnley at the weekend, but neither side could make the breakthrough as it finished goalless.

Isaac Hayden

Hayden has been hampered by injury during his loan spell at Norwich City this season, but was an unused substitute during their 5-1 thrashing at Middlesbrough on Friday night.

Joe White

White's Exeter were beaten at home by local rivals Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, with the United youngster stepping off the bench with the score at 1-0 to the visitors. His 23-minute outing didn't change things, however, as the Grecians slipped to defeat in League One.

Jay Turner-Cooke

Opportunities have been at a premium for Turner-Cooke since his move to Prenton Park, but the winger did manage to make a 37-minute appearance off the bench during the second half of Tranmere's 2-1 defeat to Crawley Town in League Two.

Garang Kuol

Hearts were beaten in the Edinburgh derby at Easter Road on Saturday, with the Australian international an unused substitute.

Dan Langley

Goalkeeper Langley has gained some vital experience at Spennymoor Town this term, but missed their 4-2 win over Kettering in the National League North through injury.

Niall Brookwell

Versatile defender Brookwell wasn't involved for Darlington as they were beaten 3-0 at Brackley.
