Gambia's involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations came to a dramatic end on Tuesday night as they suffered a stoppage time defeat to Cameroon in Bouake.
Minteh was handed a start in what turned out to be manager Tom Saintfiet's final game in charge and saw Karl Toko Ekambi give Cameroon the lead before Ablie Jallow's leveller just under 20 minutes from time.
Ebrima Colley's goal in the 85th minute shocked Rigobert Song's men and looked set to hand Gambia the win, only for James Gomez's own goal and Christopher Wooh's effort to snatch victory and send Minteh's side home pointless.
Muhammed Sanneh thought he'd levelled in the dying seconds but saw his goal chalked off after a VAR check. Minteh played the full 90 minutes, and will now return to Feyenoord for the remainder of the campaign.

Minteh's team suffered another defeat on Monday as Aguibou Camara's second half winner separated the sides, meaning their hopes of progressing from the group stage are all but over.
The young Newcastle winger began the game on the bench but was introduced with just under half an hour left - and he thought he had levelled with a wonderfully-taken finish from a tight angle, but saw that effort disallowed for offside.

The 19-year-old was named in Gambia's squad for the tournament in the Ivory Coast, but his side got off to a nightmare start on Monday.
Pape Gueye put Senegal ahead after only four minutes before Minteh's teammate Ebou Adams was shown a straight red card just before the break.
Lamine Camara's double after the restart made sure of the points for the Lions de la Téranga, meaning Gambia have it all to do in Group C.
Minteh started the game for his country, but was withdrawn with six minutes left on the clock.
