Joelinton takes centre stage for Sunday’s issue of UNITED – the Magpies’ official matchday programme – as Eddie Howe’s side welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St. James’ Park for a crunch encounter.

The Brazilian powerhouse – the club’s reigning Player of the Year – chats candidly over the course of an exclusive, in-depth interview, having just clocked up his 150th appearance in a black and white shirt earlier this month.

Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves provides his latest column, while United Backstage, the feature in which we shine a light on some of those working behind the scenes at the club, continues with a look at the Newcastle academy’s sports performance psychologist, Kim Blewett.

January recruit Anthony Gordon is the latest to dip his hand into The Toon Tombola, discussing facial hair, The Hangover films and sleepwalking. Defender Ciaran Thompson provides this week’s Academy Diary, while Newcastle United Women’s Becky Ferguson reflects on last Sunday’s milestone game at St. James’.

As always, club historian Paul Joannou and regular columnist Stan Gate provide four pages each; Paul looks back at two of the Magpies’ most successful campaigns of the 21st century to date, while Stan brings all sorts of black and white insignia back to light in Toon Collectables. Toon Voyage!, meanwhile, a new series looking at some of the most significant geographical locations in the Magpies’ history, continues with a look at some of the pitches right across Tyneside used as secondary grounds and training fields over the years.

Furthermore, there’s ten pages on visitors Spurs, three more for Junior Magpies, boss Howe and skipper Jamaal Lascelles’ thoughts ahead of the game and lots of extra reading material.

UNITED will be on sale around the ground, priced at £3.50.
