Jasmine McQuade and Molly Wilcock scored two apiece while Libby Corney, Amy Hargrave, Georgina Spraggon and Sophie Curle all found the target in an emphatic victory for Courtney Vacher and Thomas Gallagher's team as they lifted the Bluefin Sports Insurance Women's Cup.
It came less than a month after United's development team - established at the beginning of the campaign to ensure that young players in the North East are given a platform to progress as footballers while also providing them with a pathway into the Newcastle United Women first team - won the FA Women's National League (FAWNL) Plate with a 3-0 victory over their counterparts from Portsmouth Women.
United were in front inside six minutes when skipper Spraggon played in McQuade, who finished well, then doubled their advantage shortly before the half-hour mark when Corney's effort squirmed beyond Megan Hindmarsh, the West Allotment goalkeeper.
Then shortly before half time, Hargrave made it three with a crisp strike from inside the area which had the Magpies supporters - including many of Becky Langley's first team stars, including Anna Soulsby, Beth Guy, Charlotte Potts and Georgia Gibson - on their feet.
In the second period, United continued to dominate with Spraggon and substitute Wilcock scoring quickfire goals. McQuade got her second and United's sixth in the 68th minute, then Wilcock, not to be outdone, scored again with a close-range effort in the 70th minute.
And five minutes from time, former Darlington Women forward Curle completed the scoring, reacting first after Emily Bloomer's shot was saved.
The scoreline could have been even more convincing, but United were comfortable winners and deservedly lifted the trophy with manager Vacher telling nufc.co.uk: "I'm unbelievably proud of every single player tonight and throughout the competition.
"It was another dominant and relentless display which allowed them to achieve their second trophy of the season. "They consistently epitomise the club's values which is shown by their togetherness on and off the pitch, led by Georgina Spraggon. They continuously rise to the standards we set even when we're winning and in control of the game; we demand more and they give more.
"It was a great opportunity for them to showcase their development on another big stage - and one that they thrived in."
United's development team could still win yet more silverware this term - they are currently second in the FAWNL Reserve Northern Division with three games in hand on the leaders - while Langley's first team will look to move a step closer to promotion from the FAWNL Division One North on Sunday when they travel to Leeds United Women.
