Tickets for the tie – which kicks off at 3pm – are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Those prices will rise to £20 and £10 respectively on the day of the game.
Rovers last visited St. James’ Park during the Magpies’ title-winning Championship campaign, when – surprisingly – they won 1-0 thanks to Charlie Mulgrew’s second-half strike.
The two clubs have met 11 times in the FA Cup – including replays – with United winning six and losing just twice.
Their last meeting in the competition came during the 2011/12 campaign – also at the Third Round stage – with the Magpies running out 2-1 winners at St. James’ Park.
