The boyhood United fan has been recognised for his stellar work as part of a solid Newcastle defence throughout the month, which has seen Eddie Howe's refuse to concede a league goal in their three outings.
Howe's side have drawn at Arsenal, beaten Fulham and drawn at Crystal Palace in January, with their unbeaten run - which now stands at 15 league games - helping them maintain their place in the top three.
And Burn's displays at left back have earned him a place on the shortlist for the prize, with the winner set to be announced on Friday, 3rd February.
He is one of seven players nominated, along with Brennan Johnson of Nottingham Forest, Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City, Marcus Rashford of Manchester United, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, Brentford's David Raya and Brighton's Solly March.
