Bruno Guimarães has been called up by Brazil for their World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Chile later this month.

The Newcastle United midfielder, whose superb volleyed backheel proved to be the winner in the Magpies' 2-1 victory at Southampton on Thursday night, has been named in the Seleção's 25-man squad for the double header.

Tite's men will face Chile at the Maracana on Thursday, 24th March (11:30pm kick-off) before heading to La Paz to take on Bolivia on Wednesday, 30th March (12:30am kick-off).

Guimarães currently has four caps to his name for Brazil, having made his senior debut for his country in November 2020, as well as having made six appearance for their Olympic team.

Brazil currently sit four points clear of Argentina at the top of the South American qualification group, and are in pole position to make sure of their spot at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year.
