Newcastle United are being well backed to return to winning ways as they prepare for their final game in front of home supporters in the Premier League this season against Arsenal

It's a Monday night assignment for the penultimate game of the campaign and Eddie Howe's men will be hoping a strong run of form on home turf continues as they seek to end the season on the high.

Liverpool and Manchester City are the only visiting teams to take three points away from St. James' Park since October and Newcastle's move into 3/1 from 10/3 in the early betting suggests strong support that they can send home supporters away happy ahead of the season finale at Burnley next weekend.

The strong run since the start of the year sees the Magpies in the top four in the form table over the last 15 games and before the 1-0 defeat to title-chasing Liverpool, it was six wins on the spin at home.

Five of those six victories came by either 1-0 or 2-1 scorelines and Newcastle's last three triumphs over the Gunners have also been 1-0 or 2-1 victories, so the trends are backing up one of BoyleSports' headline price boosts for Monday night's clash, with a 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 home win now enhanced from 9/2 to 5/1.

The last four Newcastle matches have resulted in the winning team winning to nil and a clean sheet victory for the hosts is also now available at 13/2 from 6/1, while the chances of a one-goal winning margin to sign off the season at home are rated at 9/2.

Newcastle to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 was 9/2... now 5/1
