Defender Fabian Schär takes centre stage for Newcastle United’s final official matchday programme of the season on Monday night.

The Swiss, who put pen to paper on a new two-year contract at St. James’ Park in April, chats in-depth to UNITED over the course of an exclusive, seven-page interview.

Elsewhere, there’s a Toon Tombola debut for Dan Burn, who discusses Qui-Gon Jinn, John Cena and River Monsters, while there’s news of this year’s official Player of the Season award, with the recipient revealed.

Australian international cricketer Matt Renshaw – who’ll be watching the Magpies take on Arsenal from the stands on Monday night – provides our final Guest Column of the season, while young goalkeeper Max Thompson gives us this week’s Academy Diary.

Toonament History – the feature in which we investigate the Magpies’ links to football’s two biggest international tournaments – concludes with a look back at last year’s Euro 2020, the prelude to a further eight pages of historical content, including contributions from Paul Joannou and Stan Gate.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United Women’s Olivia Watt reflects on a remarkable campaign for the Lady Magpies, while we find out a little bit more about young defender Ella Wilson.

And, as always, we’ll have all you need to know about our visitors, Arsenal, as well as lengthy columns from Eddie Howe and Jamaal Lascelles – who both reflect on a campaign like no other at St. James’ Park.

If you’re not able to make it on Monday, you can still order your programme online – available on Curtis Sport’s website here.
