Miguel Almirón's goal in Newcastle United's 2-0 win over Burnley has been shortlisted for September's Budweiser Goal of the Month award

The Paraguayan winger's trademark finish set the Magpies on their way to a 2- win over the Clarets at St. James' Park last month, which was their fourth win in five games.

After Kieran Trippier stole possession in the final third, Almirón picked up the pieces and drove forward before unleashing an unstoppable curling effort which flew past James Trafford and into the the top left-hand corner.

It was a trademark effort from the former Atlanta United man, who is nominated for the monthly gong alongside Bruno Fernandes and Hannibal Mejbri of Manchester United, Jhon Duran of Aston Villa and Leandro Trossard of Arsenal.

Nottingham Forest's Callum Hudson-Odoi, Crystal Palace's Joachim Andersen and Manchester City's Julian Alvarez are also shortlisted.

The winner will be announced on Friday, 13th October. You can vote for Almirón by clicking here.
