Sean Longstaff adorns the front cover of Saturday’s issue of UNITED – the Magpies’ official matchday programme – as Eddie Howe’s side welcome Aston Villa to St. James’ Park.

Longstaff, who’s been an ever-present during United’s superb run of form of late, opens up on his role in the side under Howe and chats at length about the togetherness within the Newcastle camp.

Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves provides his latest column, while United Backstage, the feature in which we shine a light on some of those working behind the scenes at the club, continues with a look at assistant player liaison officer Jamie Morren.

Goalkeeper Karl Darlow is the latest to dip his hand into The Toon Tombola, discussing falcons, facial hair and family camping trips. Young defender Charlie Wiggett provides this week’s Academy Diary, while Newcastle United Women’s Beth Guy, who used to work at the club’s Box Office, tells us more about herself.

As always, club historian Paul Joannou and regular columnist Stan Gate provide four pages each; Paul looks back at the two intrepid United supporters who walked all the way to Wembley for the Magpies’ two FA Cup final victories between the wars, while Stan brings all sorts of black and white insignia back to light in Toon Collectables. Toon Voyage!, meanwhile, a new series looking at some of the most significant geographical locations in United’s history, continues with a look at St. James’ Park’s initial transformation into a sporting arena.

Furthermore, there’s ten pages on visitors Villa, three more for Junior Magpies, boss Howe and skipper Jamaal Lascelles’ thoughts ahead of the game and lots of extra reading material.

UNITED will be on sale around the ground, priced at £3.50.
