The England international scored his 12th goal of the campaign as he finished off a flowing move which saw every Newcastle player involved, and supporters have chosen it as their best strike of the season.
Allan Saint-Maximin was nominated twice, for his strikes against Burnley, home and away, while Jonjo Shelvey had two goals on the shortlist for the second season in a row - his cup equaliser at Newport and his half-volley against Crystal Palace - and Jacob Murphy also featured twice for his stunners away to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley.
Joelinton was nominated for his Carabao Cup goal at Morecambe while Dwight Gayle's header against West Bromwich Albion was also in the running.
But it will be Wilson - who also won the club's Player of the Season award for his first campaign on Tyneside - who receives the accolade when the team return for pre-season training next month... although ten other players had a part to play in the goal!
Jetro Willems won the award last year, for his sensational strike at Liverpool, while Fabian Schär was the winner for 2018/19, for his spectacular long-range strike against Burnley. Prior to that, Ayoze Pérez picked up the trophy three times in five seasons before his move to Leicester.
