The 24-year-old, whose contract with the Magpies runs out at the end of this month, linked up with the Eredivisie side on Friday, putting pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at the De Grolsch Veste for the next three seasons.
Vuckic – who spent time on trial with Rene Hake’s side in March – leaves St. James’ Park having made a total of 20 appearances for the club since his arrival in 2009.
The Slovenian made his Magpies debut under Chris Hughton in August 2009, featuring in a League Cup tie against Huddersfield Town before a league bow came during a Championship clash with Leicester City later that month.
During his time on Tyneside, Vuckic made 10 starts, scoring his only goal for the club in a Europa League tie against Atromitos in 2012.
He also made his full international debut for the club while on Tyneside, and spent time out on loan at Cardiff City, Rotherham United, Rangers, Wigan Athletic and Bradford City.
