Ciaran Clark and Rob Elliot called up by Ireland for Denmark double-header

Martin O'Neill's men are looking to book their place at next summer's finals in Russia, with the first leg in Copenhagen on Saturday, 11th November and the second leg taking place at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, 14th November.

Clark, who has 26 caps, has been a regular for the Republic throughout their campaign so far.

Elliot has yet to play during qualifying but has four caps for his country.

Ireland finished second in Group D, behind Aleksandar Mitrovic's Serbia, while Denmark were runners-up to Poland in Group E.

The squad will meet up on Monday, November 6th to begin preparations at the FAI National Training Centre.
