The Magpies welcome the Seagulls to Tyneside having earned a 3-1 win over PSV Eindhoven last Wednesday, which secured qualification from Group A in the Premier League International Cup.
And United return to Premier League 2 Division Two action on Monday hoping to build on their encouraging recent run of form, which has seen them lose just once – 4-3 at Norwich City earlier this month – in their last seven games in all competitions.
Newcastle have won twice since that loss to the Canaries, with the PSV triumph coming after a convincing 4-0 win at Burnley in the Premier League Cup.
Brighton, meanwhile, were beaten 2-1 at Reading in their last league outing, having drawn 1-1 in each of their previous three games prior to that defeat. A win for United on Monday could see them rise to eighth in the table.
Tickets for the game at Whitley Park are available at the turnstiles, priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. Admission is free for season ticket holders and members.
