Newcastle United head coach Steve Bruce has made two changes to his side for Saturday’s clash at West Ham, with Isaac Hayden and Jonjo Shelvey coming into the side.

Hayden returns to the line-up after serving a three game suspension following his red card at Leicester City last month.

And he will partner Shelvey in the centre of midfield, with Sean Longstaff banned after his dismissal against Wolves last weekend and his brother Matty named on the bench.

That means the Magpies will again begin with Martin Dúbravka in goal behind a central defensive trio of Federico Fernández, captain Jamaal Lascelles and Ciaran Clark.

DeAndre Yedlin and Jetro Willems will provide width down the flanks at the London Stadium, while Hayden and Shelvey occupy the engine room.

And Bruce has opted to go with a three-pronged forward line, with Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almirón again looking to provide chances for central frontman Joelinton.

Former Hammers striker Andy Carroll is named on the bench having returned to training in the week, while Christian Atsu and Dwight Gayle are the other offensive replacements.

Karl Darlow, Emil Krafth, Paul Dummett and Matty Longstaff complete the list of substitutes available to Bruce as United look to bring back three points from the capital for the second time this term.

Newcastle United: Martin Dúbravka; DeAndre Yedlin, Federico Fernández, Jamaal Lascelles, Ciaran Clark, Jetro Willems; Isaac Hayden, Jonjo Shelvey; Allan Saint-Maximin, Joelinton, Miguel Almirón.

Substitutes: Karl Darlow, Emil Krafth, Paul Dummett, Matty Longstaff, Christian Atsu, Dwight Gayle, Andy Carroll.
