Jonjo Shelvey, Salomón Rondón and Kenedy all return to the Newcastle United line-up for Saturday’s Premier League clash at Crystal Palace (3pm kick-off).

The trio were all unused substitutes in last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at St. James’ Park, but all three have been recalled to the starting 11 by Rafa Benítez as United go in search of a first win of the season.

Martin Dúbravka continues in goal, with DeAndre Yedlin, captain Jamaal Lascelles, Federico Fernández and Paul Dummett in defence.

Matt Ritchie will start on the right, with Shelvey coming into the engine room in place of Isaac Hayden, with Kenedy preferred to Jacob Murphy on the left.

And Ayoze Pérez will provide support for frontman Rondón, who replaces leading scorer Joselu, in attack.

Karl Darlow, Javier Manquillo and Ciaran Clark are named on the bench, along with Ki Sung-yueng and Christian Atsu.

Joselu and Yoshinori Mutō are the other options among the substitutes available to Benítez at Selhurst Park.
