United face Frank Lampard’s men under the lights looking for a first home win of 2022, with on-loan Aston Villa full back Targett coming into the side in place of the injured Paul Dummett in head coach Eddie Howe’s only change from the side which beat Leeds 1-0 at Elland Road last month.
All five of Howe’s January arrivals are part of the squad for the visit of the Toffees, with Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood handed starts while Brazil international Guimarães and Ashington-born Burn could both make their bows from the bench.
Martin Dúbravka starts in goal, with Trippier and Targett the two full backs either side of central defensive duo Jamaal Lascelles and Fabian Schär.
Jonjo Shelvey – the matchwinner in the victory at Leeds – starts alongside Joelinton and Joe Willock in the middle of the park.
And Wood will again lead the line, with Allan Saint-Maximin and Ryan Fraser providing support from the wings.
Guimarães and Burn are notable inclusions as substitutes, with Karl Darlow, Emil Krafth, Javier Manquillo and Jacob Murphy also kept in reserve.
Further forward, Sean Longstaff and Miguel Almirón provide midfield reinforcements, with forward Dwight Gayle also named on the bench by Howe.
