Newcastle United boss Rafa Benítez has made six changes to his starting 11 for their Boxing Day clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

The Magpies manager has opted to shuffle his pack for the visit to his former club (3pm kick-off), with DeAndre Yedlin, Federico Fernández, Isaac Hayden, Kenedy, Yoshinori Muto and Joselu all brought into the team to face the Premier League leaders.

Martin Dúbravka continues in goal, with Yedlin, Fernández, Jamaal Lascelles and Paul Dummett making up the back four.

Ahead of them, Matt Ritchie and Mo Diamé retain their spots in midfield, where Hayden and Kenedy will start alongside them.

And Japanese frontman Muto comes into the forward line to partner Joselu in attack.

That means that Javier Manquillo, Fabian Schär, Ayoze Pérez and Salomón Rondón all drop to the bench.

Freddie Woodman is also among the substitutes, and Sean Longstaff and Jacob Murphy will also take their places among the replacements for the game against Jurgen Klopp’s men.
