The Swiss centre-back has missed United's last three games through suspension but comes in for Emil Krafth in one of three changes at Molineux.

The others see Lewis Hall and Jacob Murphy start, with Lloyd Kelly and Harvey Barnes dropping to the bench. Krafth is on the bench after withdrawing from the Sweden squad due to a minor injury.

Joe Willock is also among the substitutes after recovering from the thigh injury which saw him come off soon after scoring his first goal of the season at Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup last month.

The Magpies have lost just one of their last 11 home and away league meetings with Wolves and have scored at least once in their last 11 competitive visits here, with Murphy and Miguel Almirón - who is one of the substitutes - both boasting goals at Molineux in previous visits.

Newcastle United: Nick Pope, Fabian Schär, Joelinton, Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak, Lewis Hall, Tino Livramento, Jacob Murphy, Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff, Bruno Guimarães (c)

Substitutes: Martin Dúbravka, Kieran Trippier, Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes, Emil Krafth, Will Osula, Miguel Almirón, Lloyd Kelly, Joe Willock
