Henri Saivet will start his first Premier League game of the season as Newcastle United go in search of victory at West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

Senegalese midfielder Saivet will line-up at the London Stadium alongside former Hammer Mohamed Diamé, while manager Rafa Benítez has also opted to pair Dwight Gayle with Joselu in attack as the Magpies look to provide some festive cheer for their 3,000 travelling supporters.

Rob Elliot again starts in goal, with DeAndre Yedlin, Jamaal Lascelles, Ciaran Clark and Javier Manquillo making up the back four.

Matt Ritchie and Christian Atsu start on the right and left flanks respectively, with Saivet and Diamé forming a partnership in the middle of the park.

And Gayle and Joselu will lead United’s attack on their first visit to the London Stadium.

Meanwhile, Massadio Haidara has been named on the bench for the first time this term, and is joined by Karl Darlow, Paul Dummett and Chancel Mbemba.

Jacob Murphy, Rolando Aarons and Ayoze Pérez complete the list of substitutes available to Benítez this weekend.
