United face the German outfit at the Kufstein Arena to round off their pre-season training camp in Austria, having already beaten 1860 Munich 3-0 in another friendly on Friday afternoon.
And head coach Eddie Howe has opted to hand a start to summer signing Botman, who impressed during his second half substitute appearance against Die Lowen three days ago.
Martin Dúbravka will begin the match in goal, with Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schär, Botman and Paul Dummett forming a back four.
In midfield, Sean Longstaff - who netted the Magpies' second goal against 1860 on Friday - will start alongside another of last week's goalscorers Bruno Guimarães, with Joelinton also named in the 11.
And further forward, Ryan Fraser and Miguel Almirón will look to provide ammunition for Chris Wood, who leads the line against the Bundesliga side.
It's a strong-looking bench for Newcastle, too, with Nick Pope, Jamaal Lascelles, Jonjo Shelvey, Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson all set to feature at some stage of the contest.
Emil Krafth, Dan Burn, Matt Targett, Jacob Murphy, Joe Willock and Elliot Anderson are also set to be handed some minutes by Howe, with Matt Ritchie, Matty Longstaff and Jay Turner-Cooke also named among the substitutes.
