There are eight changes to the side which beat Manchester United in midweek as Newcastle United take on Arsenal at St. James' Park (kick-off 17:30 GMT)

Anthony Gordon, Sean Longstaff and Joelinton keep their places in the starting XI - while there are welcome returns to the bench for Jacob Murphy, less than a fortnight after he suffered a shoulder injury against Borussia Dortmund, and Lewis Miley, who has recovered from glandular fever.

Nick Pope replaces Martin Dúbravka in goal, while the defence is made up of Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schär, captain Jamaal Lascelles and Dan Burn.

Bruno Guimarães joins Longstaff and Joelinton in midfield while Callum Wilson starts up front with support from Miguel Almirón - who came off the bench at Old Trafford after just five minutes and netted the opener in the 3-0 win against the Red Devils - and Gordon.

Joe Willock is on the bench against his former club, having scored for the first time this season in midweek. The other substitutes are Dúbravka, Miley, Murphy, Emil Krafth, Tino Livramento, Paul Dummett, Lewis Hall and Matt Ritchie.

Ritchie, who scored the winner in this fixture in April 2018, is one appearance away from his 200th for the club.
