Paul Dummett and Matt Ritchie both return for Newcastle United as the Magpies welcome basement side Fulham to St. James’ Park.

Dummett hasn’t started for United since last month’s 2-1 win over AFC Bournemouth, having picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty with Wales.

He made his comeback from the bench against Huddersfield Town a week ago – with Ritchie also entering the fray late on as the Magpies recorded an important victory away from home.

Dummett joins Javier Manquillo, Jamaal Lascelles and Fabian Schär as Newcastle seemingly revert to a four-man backline, with Ritchie replacing Kenedy out wide.

Christian Atsu starts on the other flank, with Mohamed Diame and Ki Sung-yueng in the centre and Ayoze Pérez providing support to Salomón Rondón up top.

On the bench, there is a place for Federico Fernández, who sat out last week’s victory at the John Smith’s Stadium with a calf problem.

Newcastle United: Martin Dúbravka, Javier Manquillo, Jamaal Lascelles, Fabian Schär, Paul Dummett, Matt Ritchie, Mohamed Diamé, Ki Sung-yueng, Christian Atsu, Ayoze Pérez, Salomón Rondón.

Substitutes: Freddie Woodman, DeAndre Yedlin, Federico Fernández, Isaac Hayden, Kenedy, Yoshinori Muto, Joselu.
