Miguel Almirón has been named on Newcastle United’s substitutes’ bench as the Magpies take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

The Paraguayan international linked up with Newcastle a week past Thursday and, after missing last Saturday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur, could make his United bow against Nuno Espírito Santo’s high-flying side this evening.

Rafa Benítez starts with the same XI as he did against Spurs, with Martin Dúbravka in goal and DeAndre Yedlin, Fabian Schär, Jamaal Lascelles, Florian Lejeune and Matt Ritchie making up a five-man backline, from right to left.

Isaac Hayden and Sean Longstaff continue in central midfield, with Christian Atsu and Ayoze Pérez providing support to lone frontman Salomón Rondón.

Joining Almirón on the bench is Mohamed Diamé – who hasn’t featured for Newcastle since 2nd January – as well as Freddie Woodman, Javier Manquillo, Federico Fernández, Kenedy and Joselu.
