The game will be shown live on NUFC TV (kick-off 7pm BST) - two weeks after United and Norwich shared four goals in a thrilling clash in front of the cameras.
Peter Beardsley has named a strong team for the game, with Dwight Gayle, Jack Colback, Rolando Aarons and Henri Saivet all starting, but Durham-born forward Charman keeps his place. And the 19-year-old told nufc.co.uk: "I've got a feeling it's going to be a good game. I think we'll play some exciting football and hopefully we'll get the win.
"We've got a few lads with first team experience. Obviously we've got Dwight up front, who did really well for the first team last year, and I'm looking forward to the game.
"It's exciting to play with him. I can learn from him; in the games, I watch him and see where he's running, and I try to replicate that myself."
Former Belmont Community School pupil Charman scored against Norwich in Newcastle's last home game and has been in good form for Beardsley's side this term.
He said: "I'm feeling confident at the moment. Before games, I'm going into them thinking I'm going get chances, and I'm quite confident that I'm going to be able to put them away. It just feels like this season I've got a bit more confidence in myself, knowing that if I get chances, I've got a good chance of putting them away.
"It's always good to score at St. James' - it's nice to score anywhere, but it's even better here. I can't imagine what it would be like in front of 52,000 on a Saturday."
