Magpies' boss shortlisted for monthly award following his side's strong form

The Magpies' head coach guided his side to a win against Sheffield United and a draw against Aston Villa in June before starting July with a brilliant 4-1 victory at Bournemouth.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are also in contention for the prize.

Results in the first half of March, before the Premier League season was halted due to the coronavirus outbreak, have also been taken into account. Newcastle won 1-0 at Southampton in their final game before the campaign was paused.

Voting is now open here and closes at 6pm (BST) on Monday, 6th July.

The votes of the public will be combined with those of a panel of football experts to decide the winner.

United winger Allan Saint-Maximin, meanwhile, has been nominated for the Premier League's EA Sports Player of the Month award. Voting for that award is open here.
