In addition to a personal training programme provided by the club, Sterry has devised a number of routines based on high-intensity interval training (HIIT), which consists of different exercises in short, intense bursts.
After rave reviews, the 24-year-old is aiming to run live sessions on his Instagram account - @jamiesterry25 - every Wednesday and Saturday.
"I’ve been really missing football so I’ve been doing a lot of training by myself," Sterry told nufc.co.uk.
"I’ve been trying to get as fit as possible so I can return in good shape.
"I’ve always loved doing HIIT sessions, even in the off-season.
"For footballers, it’s very hard to just keep running all the time and this is a different kind of fitness.
"With HIIT, you get a sweat on and it’s only about 20 minutes of work."

Along with the rest of the country, Sterry has been on lockdown at home for several weeks and has been broadcasting the workouts on social media from his back garden.
"All you need is a small bit of space, whether it’s inside or outside, and some water," he added.
"The sessions I’ve tried to put together are a full body workout.
"It’s a good session for everyone to get involved in because you can work at your own pace.
"You don’t have to have a base level of fitness. You work as much as you can for 30-40 seconds at a time and we change it up.
"Even five reps of an exercise is more than you would have done.”
