Sørensen jetted out to Mexico City to link up with his teammates this week, and made an immediate impact in the friendly against the hosts.
The forward – who was the youngest member of his nation’s under-21 squad – entered the fray as a half time substitute, and took just three minutes to make his mark.
Former HB Køge frontman Sørensen latched onto a lofted through ball before calmly slotting home what proved to be the decisive goal in the 1-0 victory for the Danes.
The United man will remain in Mexico until Saturday, when Denmark – who will compete in the European Under-21 Championships this summer – take on the Central American side once again to round off their training camp.
