The pair, who helped the Magpies’ under-23s record a 5-2 win at Aston Villa on Monday night, joined former United heroes John Anderson and Steve Howey at the event, which saw four north east schools take part in an anti-racism workshop.

Sørensen and Wilson then formed part of a panel, alongside Anderson, Howey and a group of sponsors and supporters to field questions from the students.

And they were also on hand to pose for photographs and sign autographs for the youngsters.
